Super Falcons of Nigeria head coach, Randy Waldrum has expressed his desire to continue to lead the team.

Recall the American had fought an uphill battle with the Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) while they prepare for the 2023 Women’s World Cup.

Waldrum criticized his employers in two separate interviews and was saved from being fired by the athletic department.

Impressive performances by the Super Falcons in Australia and New Zealand put the 66-year-old in a strong position to keep his job.

His team was eliminated in the Round of 16 but they grabbed the headlines with their impressive performance.

Waldrum said he is still interested in his work but has no control over his future.

“I am proud of my team. I want to stay with this team and keep working towards the Olympics. “It’s not my decision,” he said after the match.
